How much does a business valuation cost? Well that depends on the purpose of the valuation and the complexity involved in producing a valuation report that is understandable, transparent and defendable in a court of law.
One of the most important factors to consider is how the valuation report will be prepared and the qualification and experience of the valuer.
A $450 automatically generated valuation will have no credibility in a court of law or with a lending institution. All it will do is provide a figure based on some spurious valuation approach. Similarly, when you require a business valuation, you should have assurance that the valuer has the relevant qualifications and experience to provide one that will be generally accepted.
The business valuation cost is also determined by the quality of the information supplied. A business or company that can supply five years of audited figures will take a significantly shorter time to value than one which the valuer must engage in forensic accounting.
